OVATA, Ovata Innovations Limited

How We Work

A clear process for turning technical ideas into validated prototypes.

Ovata uses a structured engagement model to define scope, reduce uncertainty, build carefully, test honestly, and hand over useful technical outputs.

1

Discovery

Understand the idea and define direction.

2

Research & Feasibility

Investigate, evaluate and reduce risk.

3

Proposal & Milestones

Scope, plan and align expectations.

4

Design & Architecture

Plan systems, circuits, software and flows.

5

Prototype Development

Build and integrate the prototype.

6

Testing & Documentation

Test, document and validate findings.

7

Handover

Deliver assets and technical outputs.

8

Next Stage Support

Support deployment or further stages.

Our engagement model

The process gives clients a practical route from open questions to researched, tested, documented, and handover-ready technical outputs.

Discovery

We begin by understanding the idea, the problem it solves, the intended users, the client’s goals, timeline, budget, and expected final output.

Output

Project understanding, initial scope direction, key questions, high-level risks, and next-step recommendation.

Research & Feasibility

We investigate the technical route before development begins. This may include technology comparisons, component research, system architecture, risk analysis, and feasibility findings.

Output

Feasibility notes, recommended technical route, risk register, component options, and development approach.

Proposal & Milestones

Once the project is clearer, we define what will be built, what will be delivered, how long it may take, and what each milestone includes.

Output

Scope of work, milestone plan, budget estimate, deliverables list, and handover expectations.

Design & Architecture

We prepare the structure of the system before build. This may include software architecture, circuit design, firmware logic, database planning, user flows, CAD concepts, or system diagrams.

Output

Architecture diagrams, UI/user flow direction, circuit direction, firmware logic, and system design notes.

Prototype Development

We build the agreed prototype, proof-of-concept, software platform, embedded system, PCB prototype, firmware, or technical demonstrator.

Output

Working prototype, source code, firmware, PCB files where applicable, prototype test setup, and build notes.

Testing & Documentation

We test the prototype, document what works, identify limitations, and prepare findings that help the client make informed next-stage decisions.

Output

Test notes, known limitations, technical findings, improvement recommendations, and updated files where applicable.

Handover

At the end of the engagement, Ovata provides the agreed technical assets and documentation.

Output

Source code, deployment notes, Gerber files, BOMs, firmware, CAD files where applicable, research findings, final report, and next-stage roadmap.

Next Stage Support

For software, Ovata may continue into deployment, maintenance, and market delivery where agreed. For hardware, Ovata may support manufacturing transition through documentation, partner coordination, technical clarification, or further prototype iterations.

Output

Deployment support, maintenance planning, manufacturing transition support, and further iteration roadmap.

What clients can expect

Clear scope

Well-defined goals and deliverables.

Milestone visibility

Clear milestones and progress updates.

Honest technical assessment

Real risks and trade-offs, explained clearly.

Practical deliverables

Useful outputs you can use and build on.

Documentation as a deliverable

Reports, diagrams and files you can rely on.

Structured next steps

A clear path for what comes next.

Prototype-first. Clear boundaries.

Research reduces uncertainty; it does not magically delete physics.

Ovata defines risks early, builds carefully, tests honestly, and hands over clear technical outputs.

Software projects may continue into deployment and support where agreed.

Hardware projects usually move through research, prototype development, validation, and handover.

Manufacturing and mass production are handled separately or through approved partners where required.

We build clarity before scale.

Next-stage support

Support can continue where the scope calls for it.

Software continuation

Deployment, maintenance, and full market delivery can continue where agreed.

Hardware transition

Documentation, partner coordination, technical clarification, or further prototype iterations can support the next stage.
